0x (ZRX) is an open-source protocol that provides smart contract infrastructure and liquidity to enable the peer-to-peer exchange of tokens on the Ethereum blockchain. ZRX is the token that allows 0x users to vote on Improvement Proposals that evolve the system over time. ZRX token holders can also delegate ZRX to market maker staking pools to earn protocol liquidity rewards (in ETH).
0x is an open protocol that enables the peer-to-peer exchange of assets on the Ethereum blockchain.
For each 0x trade, the buyer (also known as a taker) pays a small protocol fee denominated in Ether that is calculated as a multiple of the trade’s gas price. The fees are routed into the Staking Pool owned by the maker of the specific order, provided that the address has been registered as a pool operator or as a market maker address by the operator.
Fees are accumulated in staking pools over the course of a 10 day interval (known as an epoch). At the end of each period, the Liquidity Rewards are automatically distributed to the pool operators based on their trade activity and the amount of ZRX staked over the epoch. Any rewards that were not distributed (due to liquidity providers not being fully staked) will automatically roll over to the next epoch, bootstrapping the future Liquidity Rewards Pool for market makers.
As a market maker, it's very important you create a staking pool and register all the address you use to create orders to avoid losing the liquidity rewards you are eligible for.
The creation of a staking pool is completely anonymous, as the only information needed are the addresses providing liquidity. Optionally, you will be able to add simple metadata to your staking pool that will be stored in a publicly available github repo that will power the ZRX Portal.
The easiest way to Stake 0x ZRX is to do it through Trust Wallet
They have clear instructions on how to do it with full explanation and screenshots.
Note: If you would like to stake ZRX, please make sure that you have some Etherium (ETH). You will need it in order to participate in 0x (ZRX) Stacking. You can also create and manage your own ZRX stacking pool by following the Official Instructions
Please note that you need to be technical savvy and have necessary knowledge.
