Push the boundaries of innovation with Venom blockchain. Venom team is dedicated to providing guidance and inspiration should you need any support.

Who can participate in the hackathon?

The Venom Hackathon is open to anyone above the age of 16, whether you are a team or an organization. Only entities directly involved or indirectly involved with Venom are not eligible to participate.

What can I build?

You can be as creative as you want with your project submission, as long as it falls within one of the three tracks:

1. WEB3, NFT & Gaming
2. DeFi & Stablecoins
3. Tools & Infrastructure. 

How will I receive my prize?

Within 30 days of the winners being announced, all recipients of prizes will receive their rewards in the form of USDT. More information on reward payouts will come during the hackathon.

What is the duration of the hackathon?

The development period of the hackathon will begin on May 8 and end on June 10. This will be followed by a week-long judging period, ending with the awards ceremony on June 17. For more information, please refer to our event schedule.

I am currently developing a project. Am I still allowed to participate?

Yes, as long as you convert your current project to the Venom Network and make your project open-source, you will be eligible to participate in the hackathon.

Judging criteria

1. Technological Innovation: Does the integration with Venom showcase high-quality software development?
2. Potential Impact: Is the project open-source, and what level of impact could it potentially have on the Venom ecosystem?
3. Project Sustainability: Is the project plan well thought out and realistic?
4. Design: Is the project designed to optimize user experience?

What are the rules?

• Existing Solutions Around: You must have the rights to use the code or specify which parts of the code are not commercially available for use. Venom team does not need or expect you to write everything from scratch. Please use existing solutions and make all attempts to solve the problem to the best of your abilities.
• Meet Deadlines: Your project has to be submitted before the deadline via our hosting partner’s website (DoraHacks). More details will be provided via email.
• Open-Source: Teams can keep their GitHub repo closed-source during the hackathon, but are required to open-source after the last day of BUIDL submission deadline.
