Details
As an ambassador, you’ll have the opportunity to amplify your impact, work with like-minded individuals in the program and on the Story team, and contribute to meaningful initiatives within the Story community and ecosystem.
This Ambassador Program is designed to foster a collaborative network of community leaders who are passionate about the mission of Story. As an ambassador, you will work alongside fellow ambassadors and members of the Story team. You’ll have your own specific role and responsibilities, but you’ll also be part of a supportive team that shares a common goal.
Program Core Values
While all ambassadors will be responsible for various focuses within their role, the program also has core values of its own. Within the program, the project aims to instill and portray these values:
- Collaboration: Story believes that working together enhances the impact. Ambassadors are encouraged to share ideas, resources, and support one another, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose.
- Inclusivity: Story celebrates diversity and strives to create an environment where every ambassador feels welcomed and valued.
- Integrity: Honesty and transparency are fundamental to the mission. Ambassadors are expected to represent Story with authenticity, ensuring that their actions align with its values and goals.
- Empowerment: The project aims to empower ambassadors to take initiative and lead within their roles. By providing support and resources, Story encourages personal growth and the development of leadership skills.
- Impact: Story`s work is driven by a commitment to making a positive difference in the Story community and ecosystem. Ambassadors are encouraged to contribute to initiatives that align with this mission, striving for meaningful change.
Benefits of Being a Story Ambassador
Joining the Story Foundation’s Ambassador Program comes with a range of benefits, including:
- Personal Growth: Be part of an elite team of ambassadors that encourages you to develop your leadership and communication skills through shared challenges and support.
- Networking Opportunities: Connect with fellow ambassadors and Story team members who share your passion, allowing for meaningful exchanges and collaborations.
- Support and Resources: Gain access to resources and support that empower you to effectively represent Story, excel in your role, and grow your skills.
- Meaningful Impact: Contribute to initiatives that drive positive change in the Story community and ecosystem, providing a sense of fulfillment and purpose.
- Recognition: Your hard work will be valued and celebrated within Story, fostering motivation and continued engagement through spotlights and swag.
- Compensation: Ambassadors will receive compensation on a per-role, ambassador basis, ensuring that your contributions are recognized and rewarded fairly rather than through task farming.
Shared Responsibilities
While ambassadors will have specific roles — such as Community Moderators, International Representatives, or Technical and Creative Ambassadors — they will share key responsibilities that enhance the community:
- Community Engagement: Participate in discussions across channels (e.g., Discord, social media) to foster an inclusive environment.
- Collaboration: Share knowledge and resources, such as Community Moderators working with International Representatives to ensure effective communication.
- Advocacy: Represent Story’s mission and promote initiatives that create a positive impact.
- Feedback: Provide and seek input on initiatives to support continuous improvement. For example, Technical Ambassadors help determine which updates are too complex while International Representatives gather regional insights.
- Event Participation: Help plan and execute community events, like Technical Ambassadors hosting platform workshops or Creative Ambassadors organizing showcases for new creators.
Performance Management
This Ambassador Program is committed to supporting your growth and ensuring accountability through a structured performance management system. Ambassadors are required to submit weekly activity reports, attend regular check-ins, and adhere to a three-strikes system. These key components include:
- Weekly Reports: Summarize your activities, achievements, challenges, and feedback each week to help track your progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Check-Ins: Participate in regular team meetings with fellow ambassadors and one-on-one meetings with Story leads to receive direct feedback and address any concerns, fostering a supportive environment.
- Three Strikes System: To encourage active participation, ambassadors may receive strikes for poor performance, failure to respond to feedback, or unacceptable behavior. Accumulating three strikes may result in removal from the program; however, strikes can be removed through consistent performance and exceptional contributions.
This structured approach promotes engagement, accountability, and growth within the community of ambassadors while allowing for a sense of transparency.
