About
The launch of Oraichain Testnet Validator Program is a key milestone for Oraichain ahead of mainnet. This will hold the same impact as their successful product launch with yAI.Finance and Oraichain AI Marketplace — which aims to have 100 AI APIs early next year. Team have ramped up their resource with 13 developers working on the Oraichain mainnet team and spent almost 10,000 working hours to complete the Oraichain testnet in just three months.
The Oraichain network is based on the Cosmos Network that is fully compatible with Cosmos IBC. The Oraichain validators will create new blocks and run oracle scripts that are used to execute AI requests. The network and validators are designed to have high modularity and scalability, creating a scenario for easy integrations of new features and components into Oraichain’s network.
How to participate?
- Deposit 500 ORAI to the Testnet Program Validator vault on yAI.finance (deposits will open starting on Dec 25 16:00 UTC)
- Create a native address on the Oraichain Wallet
- Install a validator on your machine
- Online time of each validator and 500 ORAI deposit will be checked every day
- ORAI rewards for node validators will start on Dec 26 (16:00 UTC). They will accrue every 7-day validation period (70% rewards will be claimable immediately, 30% after mainnet launch on the first week of February 2021)

Note:
Node validators are eligible for 400 ORAI rewards maximum and can run only one node. Oraichain reserves the right to invalidate rewards for node validators that exploit the system and if team detect anomalies such as the case they are running more than one node.
