Atired explorer after a long journey, climbing high into the mountains, saw a large fortress and a small town around it. This is a wonderful place, there were a lot of new and interesting, incomprehensible and unfamiliar things around. An island floated in the sky, the letters Gearbox DAO glowing brightly above it. Emotions overwhelmed him, he really liked this place, he wanted to stay there and get to know its inhabitants.

Inside the DAO Citadel, work was in full swing, but it was too difficult for him to understand everything at once, because he had never seen such places. People around wore strange masks, talismans around their necks and looked like robots. “What a cool and strange place”, — the explorer thought.

Someone from the crowd came and told him that he needed to study the Gearbox DAO Manifesto first, so that he could learn more and prepare better for the exam. "What exam?" - asked the explorer. But a random passerby quickly disappeared into the crowd. The explorer listened to the advice and spent several days without sleep in order to explore the Manifesto through and through, reading the same pages several times in order to better understand the details. The Manifesto was learned almost by heart and complicated things no longer seemed complicated. He was exhausted and fell asleep with no power left, there were many thoughts in his head.

In the dream, Leverage Sensei came to the explorer and asked him various questions. It seemed strange, before dreams were not so realistic. The questions weren’t easy, but the efforts were not in vain, he answered confidently and coped.

"Weird dream?" - No, it looks like that's what the passerby was talking about. When the explorer opened his eyes, he saw a beautiful talisman on the table. It was similar to the talismans he saw on the DAO workers, but the color was different. What does it mean? Although his new knowledge is still not enough to conduct a full-fledged work in the DAO, and the composition of the core members is already quite large, he, like many other such travelers, was accepted into the ranks of GEARheads - and now he can help too!

Where there was a bare land a year ago, now grass grows, the sun shines and DAO develops. A large iron heart beats evenly, like a clock. A group of robots who believe in one common idea, work every day and diligently develop the infrastructure. Like blood vessels, committees are related to each other but develop in parallel. A lot of complex processes work every day in the Citadel, but all this work is transparent and open. If you feel that your skills can help, you will always be welcome. We have always said that we welcome newcomers, and now we want to give the most creative explorers a chance to prove themselves.

As part of the proposal, a budget was approved, part of which goes to activities, community growth, social support, networks and so on. We are well aware that this won’t help us find many new developers and a lot of complex user-generated content and analytics. But in every community there should be members who raise the team spirit and create VIBES.

This means you don't have to be a super strong mathematician or developer to become a member. It's enough that you like Gearbox, and you are ready to help the project grow in the social networks, expand the community and cheer up creating cool VIBES. 

Main Explorer stages

• Step zero. A lot of time and effort has been spent on building what is now in front of you. Of course, each main participant of the DAO Citadel would like respect for their work and due responsibility. That is why explorers must prove to the main participants that they have enough knowledge to get a chance to prove themselves. What does it mean? Use our Manifesto to gain more knowledge and be ready to answer the questions of the quest that awaits you. Every page matters.
• Step one. Explorers will be given a quest, based on the results of which the best students will be selected.
• Step two. Explorers who complete the quest get new roles Gearhead Explorer, as well as access to the main adventure discord channels. Now they can show what they are capable of and earn points to get POAPs, cool merchandise and claim the GEAR token. (If the participant joined later and was unable to participate in the first quest or failed it, they will be able to join later while waiting for a new quest).

What do Gearhead Explorers do?

They create interesting content (memes, creative design, media, etc. etc.), use the product, describe their experiences, create quality twitter threads or articles with their strategies, and learn from the experience of others. Help in twitter raids to promote the main ideas of the DAO. Reposts, comments, likes.

Easy things that, nevertheless, help the overall growth of the community. Create educational content in the regional language. They talk about the Gearbox protocol in the region (in various community chats), make high-quality reviews. Participate in forum discussions. Vote on a snapshot or delegate their GEAR tokens to Gearbox DAO delegates. Participate in games and other activities. Invite new members.

Grading system and rules

The main participants of the DAO manually evaluate your contribution and accrue points, for this a special Discord Bot will be launched. Based on the results of the activities, a Leaderboard will be formed, and the leaders will potentially qualify for various rewards, including the GEAR token. Since we do not use automation, all points will be awarded manually only for a quality contribution.

Do not attempt to create additional accounts or post questionable content. Therefore, bots and multi-accounts will be useless. VIBES metaDAO workers will always value quality over quantity. Respect key contributors and their workspace, don't ask rash questions or spam in work channels. All translations to CN, JP, RU are done by the main DAO members, try to make your own content (and publish in your sources).

Disclaimer: since the program is currently at its inception, it may undergo changes. Keep in mind that no one here will get rich on bots. The program is based on explorers who want to move forward with Gearbox. If the metaDAO then decides to make GEAR rewards for POAPs or continue to award non-material rewards for the time being, then this is the future decision of the metaDAO.

KOL grant programs and external communications

One part of the job is to make good content. The other part is to distribute it. The Gearbox DAO already had some great contributors and community members spreading the word about the protocol and the DAO across various platforms. However, we do not stop there and only want to grow, especially with the release of new products — more buzz is needed.

That's right, Key Influencers [KOL] can create branded content, tell their communities about Gearbox. This does not mean that we are asking you to shill our shitcoins. The task is to move the product forward and make cool and interesting content around it. This requires some compensation, whether in USDC or GEAR. In most cases, we would prefer compensation in GEAR [to have KOL tied to the success of the DAO].

What does VIBES expect from the program?

• Improve activity and performance on Twitter.
• Raise attendance in Discord and increase activity in chats.
• Increase general awareness and competence regarding the use of the product. By creating a learning funnel from airdrop hunter → active community member → user → advanced user.
• Increase brand awareness by increasing the number of mentions in various media resources.
• Creation of a strong, active community around the project with a high degree of involvement.
• Get more feedback about the product and its advantages/disadvantages through regular surveys of active users.
