Fuel aims to provide developers with the tools they need to build decentralized economies at scale. By joining the Fuel Points Program, you directly contribute to its vision of building a purpose-built operating system for Ethereum rollups, which tackles the most critical challenges in blockchain scalability: execution and state growth. The Fuel network has been crafted as a purpose-built operating system for Ethereum rollups (Rollup OS) to advance high-throughput, state-sustainable blockchains, and now needs your help to make this vision a reality.

Fuel Points Program was designed to incentivize early contributors by offering points for those who deposit their assets in preparation for the mainnet launch. The program not only ensures the necessary liquidity for the successful launch of the Fuel network but also helps bootstrap on-chain activity. By bootstrapping activity and funds to Fuel, the project lowers the barriers to adoption and increase the chances of success for developers. This approach helps mitigate the risks that developers take when building on a new network, and supports the growth of dApps on Fuel, ensuring a vibrant and secure ecosystem.

How it Works

Fuel invites eligible participants to deposit one or several of the approved assets via the Fuel Points Program Portal. Your assets will be deposited in a Fuel pre-deposit smart contract on Ethereum until Fuel Mainnet launch. In return for contributing assets, you will receive Fuel Points, which accumulate daily. The points credited to your account can be monitored via the portal.

Early depositors stand to earn more points as the program evolves, with the potential for additional incentives and higher loyalty rewards upon mainnet release.

Assets currently eligible for the program: ETH, WETH, eETH, rETH, USDT, USDC, USDe, sUSDe, and stETH.

Participants will earn 1.5 to 3 points per day for each dollar amount deposited, multiplied by an amount (i.e. multiplier) depending on the asset. Multipliers may change over time (changes will be communicated via @fuel_network on X). By contributing early, you will accumulate more points over time.

Participants can earn 1.5 points per day per $ value deposited for the following assets: ETH, WETH, eETH, rsETH, rETH, wbETH, USDT, USDC, USDe, sUSDe and stETH.

From July 8-22, participants can earn 3 points per day per $ value deposited for the following assets: ezETH.

With Fuel Points, the project is creating a sustainable rewards mechanism that will run across all stages of the Fuel network deployment—from the public testnet to Fuel Mainnet—rewarding everyone who contributes to the growth of the Fuel network and ecosystem. 

Important note: To be eligible, participants must be of legal age and not be citizens or residents of a restricted territory: Cuba, Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine, Iran, North Korea (DPRK), Syria, and the United States.

What is Fuel?

Fuel is a purpose-built operating system for Ethereum rollups. Fuel combines several innovative features to bring new capabilities to the Ethereum Ecosystem without making any compromises. Fuel rollups will have parallelized and state-minimized execution, and are designed for cross-chain interoperability along with native account abstraction and support for wallets of all networks.

Fuel aims to transform the Ethereum rollup space by combining the purpose-built virtual machine FuelVM, with a highly optimized Rust-based blockchain programming language Sway along with a fully integrated tool chain Forc and several services to create a complete Rollup OS for Ethereum.

What are Fuel points?

Fuel Points are off-chain points earned by completing on-chain actions that positively contribute to network growth. Holding Fuel Points can qualify you for future network rewards.

How do I participate in the program?

1. Go to app.fuel.network/earn-points.
2. Access the Points Portal and connect any Ethereum wallet.
3. Deposit your eligible tokens by clicking the “deposit” button.
4. Monitor your points via the Portal and see who's leading the charge by viewing the leaderboard.

How do I earn Fuel Points?

Earn Fuel Points by depositing accepted assets into the Fuel pre-deposit contract on Ethereum. There's no minimum deposit required.

How do I deposit my assets?

Deposit your assets via the Fuel Points Program Portal. Your assets will be secured in a Fuel pre-deposit smart contract on Ethereum until mainnet launch.

Which assets are eligible for the program?

Fuel accepts ETH, WETH, eETH, rsETH, rETH, wbETH, USDT, USDC, USDe, sUSDe, ezETH, and stETH.

Please note that for stETH and eETH, you can wrap the tokens into their wrapped versions wstETH and weETH respectively and then deposit into the smart contract on the Points portal itself. Likewise, you can unwrap the tokens while withdrawing on the Points portal.

How many points can I earn?

You earn 1.5 to 3 points per day per dollar on the USD value of the asset deposited, multiplied by the asset multiplier (1x or 2x), depending on the deposited asset.

These assets have a multiplier of 2x, thus, helping you earn 3 points per day per dollar on USD value deposited: ezETH. Please note that this 2x multiple is only applicable from July 8-22, 2024.

Will the multiplier value of listed assets change?

Yes, the multiplier value of the points you earn may fluctuate. Any changes will be communicated via @fuel_network on X.

How is the USD value of the deposited asset calculated?

The USD value is determined by the hourly price of that asset via a price oracle chosen at the sole discretion (e.g., the DeFiLlama API). Points are then calculated from the USD value of the deposited assets each hour.

• If a user deposits 1 ETH when the price is $3,500, the user will receive 3,500 × (1.5/24) = 218.75 points for that hour.
• If ETH price jumps to $4,000 in the next hour, the user will receive 4,000 × (1.5/24) = 250 points and so on for every hour.

Has the deposit contract been audited?

Yes, the audit was completed by Hexens and is available here for public review. All reported issues have been fixed or acknowledged. You can find the smart contract details here.

Where is the Points Program smart contract deployed?

The Points Program smart contract is deployed at 0x19b5cc75846BF6286d599ec116536a333C4C2c14 on Ethereum mainnet and has been verified on Etherscan.

Can I withdraw my funds at any time?

You can withdraw your funds anytime.

Under what circumstances might I lose my points?

Withdrawing any pre-deposited funds before Fuel Mainnet launch will result in the loss of associated Fuel Points. Points may also be forfeited due to violations of the Terms of Service or failure to meet the stated eligibility criteria.

When will I see my earned Fuel Points?

Your points will reflect on the Points Program Portal within 24 hours of deposit.

What happens at Fuel mainnet launch?

At Fuel mainnet launch, you will be asked to bridge your deposited assets within 14 days after launch. Failure to do so will result in points accrued being forfeited.

Will the program continue after mainnet launch?

Yes, the program will evolve post-launch. Early depositors can earn points for activities upon mainnet release, with the potential for additional incentives and higher loyalty rewards. Follow @fuel_network on X for the latest updates.

Why might I be unable to access the Points Program?

If you are a resident or citizen of certain regions of Ukraine, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the United States, you are ineligible to participate in the Fuel Points Program.
