The Flow to the Future Hackathon is an innovation challenge in which winners are determined solely on the basis of skill. The objective of the Contest is to leverage Flow’s platform to build solutions that respond to certain prompts provided by the Administrator. The Contest requires competence in the areas of design/UX, development, and understanding of the Flow platform.

Whether you’re building sophisticated DeFi mechanics or complex on-chain games, there’s a track for you.

The Flow to the Future Manifesto

The Flow to the Future Hackathon is a playground for the daring, the innovative, and the boundary-pushers. Flow welcomes all pioneers of the web3 world to join and unlock the full potential of on-chain logic to create dApps that are more sophisticated, innovative, and accessible to mainstream consumers, disrupting traditional centralized models.

At the heart of this adventure is Cadence, Flow's revolutionary smart contract programming language. Gaming

🎮 Gaming: $50,000 in FLOW Unleash your creativity and innovation to redefine what an on-chain gaming experience can be. From autonomous worlds to immersive multiplayer games, the possibilities are endless. Special judging bonus for users using the Flow Unity SDK.

📱 Mobile: $50,000 in FLOW Most of web3 is still desktop-first. It’s time that changed - this track is all about meeting the users where they are: on their phones. Whether you’re building a game, digital collectibles, or something never before seen, focus on creating a delightful mobile web3 experience that feels native, safe, and intuitive. Special judging bonus for users using Swift, Kotlin, React Native SDKs.

Join this track to build and improve on powerful DeFi protocols that will bring financial services to everyone in the world. Special judging bonuses if your solutions extend and are interoperable with existing DeFi/NFTFi primitives (eg. IncrementalFi, Celer, Evaluate) on Flow.

Foundational Innovation, Tooling and Infrastructure

Tracks for “Foundational Innovation”

Closely tied to Flow grants and RFP wishlist, this track will be dedicated to working on foundational innovations that will unlock new use-cases and opportunities.

There will also be specific wishlist items that will have extra milestone bounties.

Extra perks and prizes

• There are more than $100K in cloud credits available from sponsors Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure (including credits Azure OpenAI). Winners who continue to build their project and go to mainnet/production will have priority.
• Everyone is a winner with .find! All participants will be eligible for a free 5+ letter .find name, and winners also will receive free premium 3-letter domains

Cross-Track Judging Bonuses

Aside from the tracks, there will be cross-track bonuses applied for submissions that follow certain criteria:

• Fully on-chain logic: The main business logic is implemented through smart-contracts, without backend services.
• Mainstream adoption: Using Walletless Onboarding & Hybrid Custody
• NFT Frontiers: A NFT on Flow is more than a simple ledger entry; it’s a unit of programmable code stored as a Resource. Dynamic attributes, algorithmic behaviors, NFT specific or NFT-to-NFT interaction logic: this unexplored territory is open for limitless creativity!
• Extend the Ecosystem: Embrace the power of Flow blockchain and create innovative Flow-only projects that leverage the unparalleled performance and scalability of the platform.
