Details
Testing of the Flashstaking Protocol will be done using the web3 frontend. The password will be removed once the testnet officially starts.
The previous round has revealed no smart contract-related issues. Several smaller front-end bugs have been reported and relevant changes have been implemented. With Round 3 we continue testing the Dapp as you already know it.
The code will be made public and the project invites everyone to actively review it. Due to this, Flashstake is allowing for a longer, two-week testnet.
For a basic introduction to the protocol and its functionalities please see the documentation. The updated link will be provided here and on Discord shortly before the testnet begins.
There are two ways to participate:
- by completing all required tasks and qualifying for the leaderboard giveaway
- by discovering and reporting a bug. Please note that spam reports and submissions will result in disqualification.
Leaderboard — $2,500 USDC and 7,500 Flash
Flashstake has adjusted the leaderboard rules for Round 3.
50 winners will be randomly selected. To take part you have to perform each of the tasks listed below at least twice.
Once the testnet has launched, you can check the leaderboard rankings here.
**The leaderboard may not be online immediately at 5 PM UTC and could experience up to a 6-hour delay. Leaderboard rankings may be subject to change therefore these rankings cannot be taken as final. The Flashstake team will review results at the end of the competition and make changes where required (if any).**
Submit Bugs
Front-end related Bugs
Please submit any front-end-related bugs you discover using this Typeform.
Smart Contract or Protocol Related Bugs
Please report any potential exploits or general smart contract logic inconsistencies, i.e.any bugs that are not front-end related using this Typeform.
Some examples of things to double-check:
- Does the amount you expect to receive match the actual amount?
- Are the amounts you receive accurate and consistent when you submit multiple transactions in a short period of time?
Participants have until Wednesday, August 3rd, 5 PM UTC to submit bugs.
Rewards
Rewards will be allocated in the following way:
Flashstake Testnet Rewards by Round
Leaderboard Rewards
In Round 3, $2,500 USD & 7,500 Flash are allocated to the leaderboard.
50 winners will receive $50 USD and 150 Flash. Winners will be randomly selected from all participants who have completed all required steps.
Bug Submission Rewards
In Round 3, $2,500 USD & up to 3,000,000 Flash are allocated to the bug bounty (Yes, 3 million FLASH, that’s not a typo).
All bugs submitted will receive an independent review from the Blockzero Labs Core and be given a ‘Severity Score’. Exact rewards will be determined based on the Severity Score and the total number of bugs found (see disclaimer section below).
Smart Contract bugs are more favorably rewarded than front-end issues. The more severe a bug, the higher the severity score and the higher the payout. However, don’t be discouraged to report anything you find. Even previously-undiscovered typos will be eligible for a reward, so have a close look.
Registration and Testnet Tokens
Anyone is invited to test the Dapp. The testing will be performed on the KOVAN network.

Disclaimers
Participants have until Wednesday, August 3rd, at 5 PM UTC to submit bugs for Round 3 of the competition.
Bugs are rewarded on a first-come-first-serve basis. This means, if two people submit the same bug, the person who submitted the Typeform first will be the only person eligible for compensation.
Not all bugs will be treated the same or given the same compensation.
Bugs discovered that would result in a loss of funds on the protocol will be judged with the highest Severity Scores. In case of receiving multiple valid submissions (ie. multiple bugs that could result in loss of funds), the Blockzero Labs Core Citizens will decide how to split the rewards.
Bugs reported via any medium not mentioned in this article will result in no rewards being paid out. This means if someone discusses a bug in Discord but does not first report it via the official channels mentioned in this article, the first person to report the bug officially will be the one who receives the reward (if eligible).
If you have any questions about this process or would like to discuss the security of the protocol please join Flashstake on Discord in the #flashstake channel.
For information regarding other launch competitions, please visit flashstake.io.
