Details

The overall aim of this program is to grow and empower the Core community. Core is a project that was born from community, and is meant to evolve with it. It’s time to show it.
With this new version of the ambassador program, Core is reaffirming and recommitting to building the strongest community in all of web3.

Level 1 Ambassadors

Who you are: A level 1 ambassador is part of the Core community, a knowledgeable member who can explain complex concepts in a simple enough way to onboard new users and help Core scale.

What you do: Level 1 ambassadors will create and/or translate content such as blog articles, threads, videos, etc. This content should be carefully crafted to be educational, engaging, and meaningful.

What you get: As a level 1 ambassador, you will be part of Core, one of the most active communities in web3. You’ll get access to an exclusive content channel on Discord, where team members drop early information about releases and content that will be pushed out. The Core team is also working on potential rewards of CORE tokens, as well as exclusive NFTs, for level 1 ambassadors.

Level 2 Ambassadors

Who you are: A level 2 ambassador is a valuable member of Core, one who’s highly-communicative and well-connected in the web3 space. It is important that a level 2 ambassador understand the web3 space well enough to project confidence, while nevertheless being trustworthy and responsible enough to represent Core. Experience with developer relations is a huge plus.

What you do: A level 2 ambassador will host local meetups, attend conferences, or represent Core in events with the goal of helping to bring new users and projects to the Core ecosystem.

What you get: A level 2 ambassador gets exclusive swag, potential travel opportunities, and access to tools and resources from the team. The Core team is also working on potential rewards of CORE tokens, as well as exclusive NFTs, for level 2 ambassadors.

Level 3 Ambassadors

Who you are: A level 3 ambassador must have enough deep technical expertise to understand the technology behind Core, its consensus mechanism, and its link to Bitcoin. You must be able to explain it in the clearest possible way so that your technical peers can understand. Anyone who is a passionate developer, hacker, engineer, or programmer is a good fit for being a level 3 ambassador.

What you do: As a level 3 ambassador you will provide technical support for the Core community, create and/or translate technical content such as blog articles, threads, videos, etc., attend hackathons, and develop tools for the Core ecosystem. Being a level 3 ambassador could lead to a full time role at Core DAO.

What you get: A level 3 ambassador gets exposure from the primary Core X account (RTs), access to a dev-only channel with the team where tools and resources can be shared, exclusive swag, and proper compensation. The Core team is also working on potential rewards of CORE tokens, as well as exclusive NFTs, for level 3 ambassadors.

Criteria For Each Type of Ambassador

All applicants to the ambassador program start at level 1. The Core team thinks carefully before upgrading anyone to levels 2 and 3.

In the next few sections, we’ll talk about the criteria used to assess ambassadors at each of the three levels.

Level 1 Ambassadors

Here is what is expected of a level 1 ambassador:

  • Being an active community member
  • Being passionate about the Core brand
  • Able to reply to the Academy quiz with a score of at least 60–80%
  • Can demonstrate willingness to write and share Core-specific content across social media

Level 2 Ambassadors

Here is what is expected of a level 2 ambassador:

  • Being an active community member
  • Being passionate about the Core brand
  • Has attended some crypto/web3 events before, and can prove their attendance
  • Able to demonstrate enough willingness, responsibility, and knowledge to represent Core
  • Can reply to the Academy quiz with a score of at least 90%.

Level 3 Ambassadors

Here is what is expected of a level 3 ambassador:

  • Being an active community member
  • Being passionate about the Core brand
  • Having a proven technical record, through e.g a robust and active Github profile
  • Has at least one idea for a future tool built on Core

Level 3 ambassadors will be selected very carefully. They must pass job interviews with members of the team from the same area of expertise, after which point they’ll be put on a 3-month trial.

Who Should Become a Core Ambassador?

Ambassadors should be individuals who are passionate about Core and blockchain technology more generally. Initially, all ambassadors will be unpaid volunteers who actively contribute to the goal of building and maintaining the best community possible. In the future, Ambassador recognition or rewards will be individually-tailored, taking into account each ambassador’s unique role and efforts.
